Władysław Reymont

Władysław Stanisław Reymont ( born May 7, 1867 in Kobiele Wielkie at Radomsko, † December 5, 1925 in Warsaw), actually Rejment, was a Polish writer.

1893 Reymont settled in Warsaw as a writer, where he in 1896 published his first novel, The comedienne. The first decade of the 20th century lived Reymont mostly in France. There are also probably his most famous work was the farmers. Reymont belonged to the circle of poets of Młoda Polska ( Young Poland).

He received in 1924 for his four-volume, divided by seasons novel The farmers the Nobel Prize in Literature. Władysław Reymont Airport in Łódź was named in his honor.
