The WWE Tag Team Championship ( WWE to German team championship ) is the tag team wrestling title WWE. Introduced in October 2002, the title! Roster was originally placed only on day of team Smackdown. The title was incorporated on April 5, 2009 with the World Tag Team Championship for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. When WWE Raw edition dated August 16, 2010, the Unified Tag Team Titles WWE were and thus the World Tag Team Championship abolished, and Tag Team Championship got a new design. Nowadays Tag Teams of both WWE roster can get the title. As in Wrestling common practice the allocated according to a predetermined storyline.
History
After the WWF had (later WWE) bought WCW was the roster in the shows Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! divided, since the mass of the superstars was too big for a roster after the purchase of WCW. The World Tag Team Championship was assigned to RAW, which SmackDown! no tag team title had more available. Because of the WWE Tag Team Championship was created.
The first champions were after a tournament win Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. On April 5, 2009, the Title Tag Team Championship was the tag team titles World Tag Team Championship for the Unified WWE combined. When WWE Raw edition dated August 16, 2010, announced that the World Tag Team Championship, and thus the Unified Tag Team Championship will be abolished. The WWE Tag Team Championship got a new design, which were presented by Bret Hart in the arena.
Current Champions
The current WWE Tag Team Champions are The Usos, Jey Uso and Jimmy consisting of Uso in their first reign as tag team. They defeated the previous title holder The New Age Outlaws, Road Dogg and consisting of Billy Gunn on March 03, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois at the weekly RAW show.
