Xi Enting

Xi Enting (Chinese郗 恩 庭, Pinyin Xī Enting, even Hsi En -Ting or Tsi En -Ting; * 1946) is a Chinese table tennis player. It was formed in 1973 in Sarajevo world champion in men's singles and 1971 in Nagoya also with the team.

Xi Enting came as 14 - year-old in the national team of China's Hebei province. In 1965 he came to the national team. He plays table tennis with the penholder grip - in a somewhat unusual posture racket ( a cross between Chinese and Japanese bats attitude ). World Championships

Although Xi Enting 1965 played in the national team, he still had in the World Cup 1965 in Ljubljana behind the "old guard " are back to Zhuang Zedong, Li Furong and Chang Chi -Lin. In the years 1967 and 1969 took China's athletes because of the Cultural Revolution, not participate in events outside of China. At the World Championships in Nagoya 1971 Xi Enting became world champion with the team and reached the men's singles semi-final. In the final of the Men's Single Page in Sarajevo in 1973, he defeated with his precise countering the impetuous attacking Sweden Kjell Johansson and became world champion. With the team's Xi Enting lost the final against Sweden.
