The river system of the Pearl River

The West River (Chinese西江, Pinyin Xī Jiang, Western River ', formerly Sikiang ) is the 2197 km long mainstream of the Pearl River in southern China ( Asia).

River

The most significant power in southern China rises in the east of the province of Yunnan in Lianwan Shan. Its source is located northeast of Kunming and just north of Qujing. From there its water crosses the Yunnan, Guizhou and Guǎngxī whose boundaries it forms part, and Guǎngdōng: Initially called Nanpan, later Hong Shui, Qian and Xun and ultimately Xi Jiang ( West River ), it flows initially in southern and predominantly in eastern directions to Wuzhou.
