Yenişehir is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Bursa. The city is located about 50 kilometers east of the provincial capital of Bursa.

The district lies to the east of the province. It is bordered to the south by İnegöl, on the west by Kestel and Gemlik, on the north by Orhangazi and Iznik and on the east by the province of Bilecik. The city is located on the connecting road D -160 from Bursa to Bilecik. Through the county and south past the city the river Göksu Çayı, the further east in the Sakarya, the ancient Sangarius, opens flows. In the north of the circle lies the southern part of the mountain Katırlı Dağları. About five kilometers west of the county town is the airport Bursa Yenişehir ( Turkish Bursa Yenişehir Havaalanı ).

Attractions

At the village Menteşe, about ten kilometers west of Yenişehir is the prehistoric settlement mounds Menteşe Höyük.
