Yuhi Sekiguchi

Yuhi Sekiguchi (Japanese关口 雄飞, Yuhi Sekiguchi; born December 29, 1987 in Nakano ) is a Japanese racing driver. He won the 2011 Japanese Formula 3 Championship.

Career

After Sekiguchi had taken part in two races of the Asian Formula Renault in 2004, he launched a year later in the Formula Toyota. In the overall standings of this series, he finished the season in fifth place. 2006 remained Sekiguchi in the Formula Toyota and was able to in his second season win the championship title. In addition, he won the championship title of the Japanese Formula Challenge. 2007 moved Sekiguchi in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship Now Motorsport. He could win a race and achieved overall in the seventh. He also competed in the Super GT and ended the season with a victory on the tenth of the GT300 championship.

2008 Sekiguchi moved from Japan to Europe and raced in the International Formula Master for Euro Nova Racing. He took twelve points and finished at the end of the season the Sixteenth place overall. In addition, Sekiguchi took part in a race of the Super GT. In Shanghai, Sekiguchi was launched in October in the 2008/2009 GP2 Asia Series season as team-mate Michael Herck for David Price Racing. After only one race the Japanese was replaced by Giacomo Ricci.

2009 started Sekiguchi in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. He once stood in third place on the podium, winning three times the rating of the national class and finished fifth overall in the standings. In addition, he participated in four Super GT race and was 22nd in the GT300 championship. Sekiguchi 2010 entered for Three Bond Racing in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. While not quite able to win, with eleven podium finishes however, he was runner-up behind Yuji Kunimoto. In addition, he re-entered in the Super GT and ended the season in ninth place in the GT300 championship. Sekiguchi 2011 increased for the second race weekend in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship and competed for B -MAX Engineering. He won six races and was 100 to 99 points before Hironobu Yasuda master, who had denied every race. He also participated for Mücke Motorsport at the Macau Grand Prix and reached there as a fourth goal. In addition, he again took part in Super GT races and was 13th in the GT300 championship.
