Zack Phillips

Zack Phillips (born 28 October 1992 in Fredericton, New Brunswick ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since December 2011, he is with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team, the Houston Aeros in the American Hockey League on the position of the center.

Career

Phillips was the Quebec Major Junior Entry Draft of Hockey League ( QMJHL ) selected in the second round to 34th position from the Lewiston MAINEiacs 2008. Subsequently, the Centre attended the Lawrence Academy and was a season for their Ice Hockey team active. Before the start of the QMJHL season 2009/10, Phillips was discharged from the MAINEiacs after a swap deal to the Saint John Sea Dogs. In the following two years he won with the Sea Dogs the Coupe du Président and the Memorial Cup in 2011. Already in his second QMJHL season he was behind Jonathan Huberdeau 's second best scorer Saint Johns and six of the best points scorer in the league.

With the Entry Draft 2011 National Hockey League ( NHL) Zack Phillips was selected in the first round as a total 28 players from the Minnesota Wild. In the wake of the offensive athlete graduated in pre-season NHL game for season 2011/12 two games for the Wild. He was then sent to its further development back to the Saint John Sea Dogs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. On 19 December 2011 he wrote an entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild. In the QMJHL game time 2011/12 Zack Phillips won with the Sea Dogs as last season the Coupe du Président.

To AHL season 2012/13 Phillips joined the Houston Aeros, the farm team of the game, in the American Hockey League.
