Žákovice

Žákovice ( German Zakowitz, 1939-1945 Saddle Schukowitzgasse ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north of Bystřice pod Hostynem and belongs to Okres Přerov.

Geography

Žákovice is on the left side of the river Moštěnka in Podbeskydská pahorkatina ( Vorbeskidenhügelland ). To the west rises the Kleštěnec (287 m).

Neighboring towns are Soběchleby in the north, Dolni Nětčice, Horni Nětčice and Býškovice in the northeast, Žákovský Mlýn and Všechovice in the east, Vítonice, Libosváry, Nový Dvůr and Loukov the southeast, Mrlínek and Sovadina in the south, Blazice and Radkova Lhota in the southwest, Lhotsko in the West and Bezuchov and Simre in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1293, sold it to Zbyslav Bohuslavice as Duke Nicholas of Opava villages Žákovice and Libosváry. In 1375 the village as Zakowitz 1376 as Czakowitz, from 1377 as Zakowicze, 1404 as Zackowicz, 1417 as Žákovice, 1675 Žiakowitz, from 1718 Ziakowitz, 1751 Zwilkowitz and 1771 damage Schukowitzgasse was called. The original village consisted of a row of houses around the village square, and protected by two goals. In the 16th century, the village became part of the dominion Dřevohostice. Charles the Elder of Zerotein sold in 1617, the rule with the associated villages Turovice, Nahošovice, Hradcany, Sisma, Pavlovice, Prusínky, Kladníky, Bezuchov, Oprostovice, Žákovice, Mrlínek, Sovadina, Lhota, Radkovy, Lipová and Křtomil for 95,000 guilders to Jan Moravian Skrbenský of Hriste. After participating in the uprising in 1618 he lost after the Battle of White Mountain, his goods. The rule Dřevohostice was sold to Zdeněk Vojtěch Popel of Lobkowicz. Zdenek's son Wenzel Eusebius von Lobkowicz was sold in 1635 the villages Sisma, Kladníky, Bezuchov, Oprostovice, Žákovice, Mrlínek, Sovadina, Radkova Lhota, Radkovy, Lipová and Křtomil to the owner of the domain Bystřice pod Hostýnem, Johann Anton von Rottalblick. The parish registers are performed in Soběchleby since 1718.

After the abolition of patrimonial Žákovice / Zakowitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Holle show. In the water mill Žákovský Mlýn a small hydroelectric power plant was established in the 20th century. During the German occupation of the town in 1942 was assigned to the District Moravian white churches, after the end of World War II came Žákovice 1945 back to Okres Holešov. After its abolition in 1960 the community was associated with the Okres Přerov. 1976 Žákovice was the Local National Committee Soběchleby connected and incorporated in 1983 entirely by Soběchleby. Since 1991 Žákovice again forms a separate municipality. Žákovice leads since 1995 a coat of arms and banners.
