Zoltán Varga (chess player)

Zoltán Varga ( born July 12, 1970) is a Hungarian chess master.

Varga 1995 grandmasters. He won in 1996 at the Hungarian Championship. For the Hungarian national Varga played twice at the Chess Olympiad (1998 and 2004).

Varga won or occupied top positions in many tournaments: shared first place in Werfen ( 1991), first place in the Old Terminal (1993 ), first place in Budapest (1994, 1998, 2000 ), first place in Sárospatak (1995 ), shared first place in Zalakaros (1995), II place in Recklinghausen (1995), shared first place in Balatonberény (1997), II place in Gyula (1998), II place in Kőszeg (1999), II place in Paks (2000 ), I. place in the Sparkassen Open the Dortmund Chess days (2001), II, III. Place in Opatija (2002 ), I. -VIII. Place in Benasque (2003), ii.-iv. Place in Nagykanizsa (2003), first place in Miskolc (2004), first place in Balatonlelle (2005), first place in Zurich (2005), I-II Place in Harkány (2006) and I. III. Place in Balatonföldvár (2007).
