Alanno is an Italian town in the province of Pescara in Abruzzo.

Alanno is located 35 km southwest of Pescara. Here live 3580 inhabitants. The districts are Alanno Stazione, Case, Catena, Colle Grande, Costa delle Plaie, Felice Antonio, Fraticelli, Gobeo, Madonnella, Maltempo, Oratorio, Pennesi, Petricca, Ponte Fara, Prati, Sperduto, Tarantola, Ticchione and Zampetta. The neighboring municipalities are Cugnoli, Manoppello, Nocciano Pietranico, Rosciano, Scafa, Torre de ' Passeri and Turrivalignani.

The municipality has a highway connection to the A25.

History

The origin of the place is unknown.

Attractions

The old town of Alanno situated on a hill. Here are also three towers from the Middle Ages. Worth seeing is the church of Francis and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Three kilometers outside the village is the church dell'Oratorio delle Grazie from the 17th century.
