Geography

A part of the territory of the municipality lies within the boundaries of the National Park of Maiella.

Among the districts ( fractions) are Olivuccia, San Giovanni, Solcano and Trovigliano.

The neighboring municipalities are Abbateggio, Bolognano, Caramanico Terme and Scafa.

The village in the Appennien located on the northern edge of the Maiella National Park, about 40 kilometers from the Adriatic coast.
