Bendfeld

Bendfeld is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography and transport

Bendfeld is located about 4 km southeast of Schönberg ( Holstein) and the same distance from the Baltic Sea. The municipality borders the goods Schmoel, Neuhaus and Salzau. From Kiel Bendfeld is 21 km away. Characteristic of Bendfeld are large ponds, mature trees and some typical houses of Lower Saxony.

History

Bendfeld was previously mentioned for the first time under the name Bentvelde, when it was sold in 1421 to the monastery Preetz.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council has the voter community BGB since the local elections in 2013 five seats and voters Community UWB has four seats.

It is ( the end of July / August ) is celebrated mostly in the late summer and organized by the rural youth on Selenter lake. In addition to the barn party in Ottenhof ( about 10 km from Bendfeld ) it is the largest summer festival of the village surroundings on Selenter lake.
