Lutterbek
Lutterbek is a municipality in the district of Plön provost in Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
Lutterbek is located about twelve kilometers northeast of Kiel and about two kilometers inland from Laboe on the main road 502 from Kiel to Luetjenburg. The village lies in the valley of Hagen Au.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1240, when the monastery of Preetz was moved for some years after Lutterbek. The place name derives from the Old Saxon word hluttar ( pure, clear ) and the Low German word beke (Bach ) from.
Since 1286 there is a water mill in the village. By 1850 there was the mill forced the basis of which had to bring to grind after Lutterbek farmers from all the villages of the parish Probsteierhagen their grain. The operation of the mill was set in 1979.
Since 1709 there are school lessons in Lutterworth.
Policy
Of the nine seats in the municipal council the CDU since the municipal election 2008, four seats, the SPD and three voters Community FWG two seats.
