Boksee

Boksee is a municipality in the region Barkauer land in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography and transport

Boksee is located on the main road 404 between Kiel and Bad Segeberg approximately at the level of Preetz. From 1911 to 1961 Boksee was the small train station Kiel Segeberg, whose tracks were removed in 1962.

History

1378 Boksee was first mentioned as Buckze. The place name probably means Buchensee. 1572 moved Boksee in the possession of the sovereign, previously belonged Boksee the property of the city of Kiel. Until 1867, the municipality belonged then to the Official Kiel. With the formation of the districts in Schleswig -Holstein in 1867 Boksee belonged to the circle of Kiel, which was renamed in 1907 in district Bordesholm. After its dissolution in 1932 Boksee was incorporated into the district of Plön.

Policy

Since the local elections of 2008, the voters Community WGB four seats, the SPD and the CDU three two seats in the municipal council.
