This opened in 1937, Feyenoord Stadium, also popularly known as " De Kuip " (Dutch the pan), is a football stadium in the Dutch city of Rotterdam. After the Amsterdam ArenA is the second largest stadium in the Netherlands. From the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA ) it was included in the category of so-called elite stadiums. The Ehrendivisionär Feyenoord Rotterdam there carries out its home games.

The stadium was built in 1935-1937 by the Rotterdam architectural firm Brinkman en Van der Vlugt and 1994 equipped with a pent roof. At the Euro 2000 in Belgium and the Netherlands it has been extended and modernized to 52,000 covered seats.

Sports Historical Significance

The stadium holds the record for the number of discharged here European finals ( nine in number until the introduction of the UEFA Champions League).
