Edward D. Cooke

Edward Dean Cooke ( born October 17, 1849 in Cascade, Iowa, † June 24 1897 in Washington DC ) was an American politician. Between 1895 and 1897 he represented the state of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Edward Cooke attended the public schools of his home. After a subsequent study of law in Dubuque and at the George Washington University and his 1873 was admitted to the bar he began to work in Chicago in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. In 1883 he was a deputy in the House of Representatives from Illinois.
