Tim Lee Hall

Tim Lee Hall ( born June 11, 1925 in West Frankfort, Franklin County, Illinois, † November 12, 2008 in La Grange, Illinois ) was an American politician. Between 1975 and 1977 he represented the state of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Tim Hall attended the public schools of his home. During the Second World War, he was from 1943 to 1946 a member of the Reserve of the U.S. Coast Guard over the years. After he graduated in 1951, the Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. This is followed by further courses joined at Southern Illinois University, and then to 1965 at the Valparaiso University in Indiana. He then worked for 14 years as a teacher. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career.

In the congressional elections of 1974, Hall was in the 15th electoral district of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of the Republican Leslie C. Arends on January 3, 1975. Since he has not been confirmed in 1976, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until January 3, 1977. 1978 Hall competed unsuccessfully to return to Congress. From 1977 to 1983 he worked for the Secretary of State of Illinois. Subsequently he was a teacher and school inspector in Dwight back in school service operates. In 1990, he unsuccessfully sought the nomination of his party for the congressional elections. He died on November 12, 2008 in La Grange.
