Kratzenburg

Kratzenburg is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Emmelshausen.

History

Kratzenburg is one of the oldest communities on the Vorderhunsrück. As Cratzenberh it is first mentioned in a deed dated to the year 975 Emperor Otto II, which may be regarded as a forgery from the Middle Ages.
