Utzenhain
Utzenhain is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Emmelshausen.
Geography
Utzenhain is located in a hillside area in the east of the Hunsrück, between the Middle Rhine Valley and the Federal Highway 61 North of the village runs the Gründelbach.
History
The place is well- formed at the beginning of the 14th century. With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops Utzenhain was French, 1815, the place on the Congress of Vienna was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. After the First World War at times again occupied by the French, the place is since 1946 part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.

The local council in Utzenhain consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

The blazon is: shared "shield of gold and blue. Above, a red lion facing the viewer, blue edges on the golden background, with blue tongue and blue crown. Down on the blue ground a fruit stand and two leaves of the hornbeam in Silver ".
