Lafourche Parish, Louisiana

The Lafourche Parish (French: Paroisse de Lafourche ) is a parish located in the state of Louisiana in the United States. In the census in 2010, the Parish had 96 318 inhabitants and a population density of 34.1 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( Parish Seat) is Thibodaux.

Geography

The Parish is located in southeastern Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico and has an area of ​​3813 square kilometers, of which 1004 square miles are water.
