Oldham County (Texas)

The Oldham County is a county located in the state of Texas in the United States. The seat of the county government ( county seat ) is located in Vega.

Geography

The County is located in northwest Texas, the Texas Panhandle, is bordered to the west by New Mexico, and the north is about 80 miles from Oklahoma away. History

Oldham County was formed in 1876 from parts of Bexar County. It was named after Williamson Simpson Oldham, a lawyer of the Confederate States of America, who lived in Texas.
