Richard Mott

Richard Mott ( born July 21, 1804 in Mamaroneck, New York, † January 22, 1888 in Toledo, Ohio ) was an American politician.

Mott moved to Toledo in Ohio in 1836 and was active there in the real estate business. From 1845 to 1846 he was mayor of the city. Mott was elected as a candidate of the opposition party in the 34th Congress. In the 35th Congress, he was re-elected as a Republican. Thus he represented the state of Ohio on 4 March 1855 to 3 March 1859 the House of Representatives of the United States. After 1858 no longer running for another term, Mott returned to the expiration of his term of office back to Toledo and was in the real estate business. In Toledo finally Mott died 1888th He was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, New York.
