18 Tracks is a published in 1999 on Columbia Records compilation of the American rock musician Bruce Springsteen.

History

It contains 15 numbers from the previous album tracks and three songs ( The Promise, The Fever and Trouble River), which he had not yet been published. The album reached # 64 on the Billboard 200 the album was intended for the more casual listener, and therefore also contains the more oriented to pop music compositions from the Tracks album. In addition, the album should be advertising for the subsequent tour Springsteen. The album reached only # 64 on the Billboard Top 200, and remained so even after the sales figures of tracks that advanced all the way to # 27.

The Promise emerged in the Darkness on the Edge of Town sessions, but was not used for the album. The Fever was recorded in 1973 and a radio hit, Bruce Springsteen's manager Mike Appel presented the stations. Trouble River is a part of the Human Touch sessions, but was not used for the album. The song The Promise was nominated for a Grammy in the " Best Rock Song" and " Best Male Rock Vocal Performance ", but could not win the prize.
