1919 Memorial Cup

The 1919 Memorial Cup was the first edition of the tournament the same name. The participating teams were the champions of the Ontario Hockey Association, the team at the University of Toronto Schools, the Varsity Blues, as well as the winning team of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the Regina Patricias. The tournament saw before two games in which the winner was determined solely on the basis of goals scored.

The Varsity Blues have won two games with 29:8 gates of the first Memorial Cup. The tournament was held in Toronto.

The team from the University of Toronto consisted of the players Jack Aggett, Donald Gunn, Steve Greey, Don Jeffrey, Richard Kearns, Dunc Munro, Langton Rowell and Joe Sullivan. Manager of the team was RW Baker, was trained the team of Frank Carroll.
