1992–93 Albanian Superliga

Kategoria e Pare The 1992/93 (in a sense: First League ) was the 54th staging of the Albanian Football Championship and was hosted by the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit. The season began on September 6, 1992 and ended on 9 May 1993.

Course of the season

The league consisted of 16 teams as last year. In the season 1991/92 KS Selenica and KF Skënderbeu Korçë were relegated from the Kategoria e Pare, for the new season came KS Albpetrol Patos (already 1974/75 part of the Kategoria e Pare under the name Punëtori Patos ) and KS Sopoti Librazhd, the his first season in the highest Albanian Football League completed, added. Titleholder was KS Vllaznia Shkoder.

The championship was played in a regular season with round-trip round. Each team met twice against every other team. Unlike last year, when only the two bottom team had to dismount Dyte in the then second-rate Kategoria e, rose this time from the last three teams because the league was reduced to 14 teams. The Master moved to the UEFA Champions League one, a participant in the UEFA Cup presented Albania not for the following year.

A total of 545 were gates, corresponding to an average of 2.3 goals per game. Scorer with 20 goals was Edmond Dosti FK Partizani Tirana.

After four runner-up in a row Partizani Tirana finally made the leap back to the top of the league. With the fifteenth championship in club history Partizani was now once again the sole record holder of Albania. The runner-up Teuta Durrës had to end up with five points behind beaten and landed just before Besa Kavaja and defending Vllaznia Shkoder. Some distance KF Elbasani followed in fifth and reached thus sovereign in this year's league. In the relegation battle as last season, more than half of the clubs was involved. While the other top team Dinamo Tirana rescued still three points clear at first relegation zone, it was with only two meters distance already scarce for Apolonia Fier, KS Lushnja, freshman Albpetrol Patos and KF Laçi. With the former record champion SK Tirana and Vlora Flamurtari also two more traditional clubs escaped just as the crash in the second division. This could also avoid the second climber Sopoti Librazhd. In contrast Kastrioti Kruja had and the direct underlying Tomori Berat for next season as well with the Kategoria e Dyte plan as well as the severed Last KS Pogradeci.
