The 41st season of the British Touring Car Championship began on April 12, 1998 in Thruxton, and ended on September 20, 1998 in Silverstone. After 26 races won Rickard Rydell (Volvo S40) before Anthony Reid (Nissan Primera ) and James Thompson (Honda Accord ). Winning the Constructors' Championship was Nissan.
