2000–01 Interliga season
The season 2000/2001 of the Inter League was the second edition of the special successor of the Alps Hockey League Championship and was played with nine teams from four states. Defending champion was the EC KAC from Austria, but no more took part in the league. New champion was the Slovenian team HDD Olimpija Ljubljana.
Participants and mode
The four Austrian participants from the first season ( EC VSV, VEU Feldkirch, Wiener EV and champion EC KAC ) had withdrawn after the first held in the league, because a sufficiently large field of participants had come about in Austria with the merger of Premier League and National League to play off an independent state league, which promised more traction with viewers.
The other teams in the inaugural season of the League remained loyal. This was supplemented by the Slovenian Teams HK Bled (who had participated in the Alps League a few times ) and HK Slavija Ljubljana and the Hungarian Ferencvárosi TC. With KHL Medveščak Zagreb Croatian club was added. The crew HK Red Star Belgrade from Serbia completed the participants.
