2003–04 Interliga season

The season 2003/04 Inter League was the fifth staging of the special successor of the Alps Hockey League Championship and was played with nine teams from four states. Titleholder was Alba Volán Székesfehérvár Hungary, the new champion was Podhale Nowy Targ first time a participant from Poland.

Participants and mode

As in previous years, the number of participants remained in essence unchanged. The last placed HK Bled, however, had left the League as well as the Slovak HKm Zvolen and HK Serbian Vojvodina Novi Sad. For this, three representatives from Poland were added, of which the team Podhale Nowy Targ could win the championship at the first attempt.

The mode had also changed. In the ground through a simple round-trip round was played, which resulted in a total of sixteen rounds. This was followed by playoffs with quarterfinals, semifinals and finals, where all series, however, were first held as a best- of-three series, so that only the victories and no more goal difference were decisive. The amounts transferred to the preseason ranking matches accounted for.

With the 2-0 in the final series, the Polish Podhale Nowy Targ club secured its first Inter - League championship.
