2005–06 Interliga season

The season 2005/06 Inter League was the seventh staging of the special successor of the Alps Hockey League Championship and was played with seven teams from three states. Defending champion was the HK Jesenice who could defend his championship in the new season.

Participants and mode

The field remained almost unchanged. With the Újpesti TE was added only another Hungarian representatives.

Also, the mode remained the same. In the base run, a double round-trip round was played, making a total of twenty-four rounds revealed. This was followed by playoffs with quarterfinals, semifinals and finals, where the quarter-finals as a best- of-three, the rest was discharged as a best- of-five series. However, the quarter-finals consisted of three series in which the teams in the stands two to seven took part, the remaining three participants identified in this way the semi-finals ( the league leaders after the regular season was permanently set for the semifinals ).

HDD Olimpija Ljubljana, Ljubljana HK Slavija and Alba Volán Székesfehérvár qualified for the semifinals. The first game in the series of HK Slavija against Újpesti TE ( *) had to be criminal verified.
