2000 FIVB World Grand Prix

The 2000 season of the Volleyball World Grand Prix was the eighth edition of the competition. It began on August 4 and ended on August 27. Cuba won for the second time the title.

Mode

In the preliminary round came at eight teams. In the first three weeks, two tournaments with four teams took place in parallel. In the final round met the best and the worse four teams to each other. In the first round it was doing to the games 1-4, 2-3, 5-8 and 6-7.

Final round

The final round was held from August 24 to 27 in the Philippines. On the first two days the places were five to eight played, then the semi-finals and the finals were held.
