2014 FIVB World Grand Prix

The 2014 season of the Volleyball World Grand Prix is the 22nd edition of the competition. It starts on July 25 and ends on August 24. For the first time take 28 instead of the previous 20 teams participate.

Mode

From this year the teams will be playing in three divisions, and it must come to climb and descend. Each division has two stages - Preliminary and Final Six ( Division I) or Final Four ( Division II and III)

In the first round all teams compete. In the first three weeks (in Division III, there are two ) are two ( in Division I are there three) instead of tournaments with four teams in parallel. The top four or three teams overall will qualify alongside the host to the final round. For the Final Six is also the winner of the Final Four of Division II qualified In the final round the teams will play " all against all ".

With a 3:0 or 3:1, there are three points for the winner and not the loser. In a 3-2 the winner gets two points, the opponent a point. If two or more Teams are equal on points, the sequence is defined in the table on the following criteria: First, decide the number of games won, in case of equality the ratio of the rates and in the end the quotient of the ball points.
