2001 European Cross Country Championships

The 8th European Cross Country Championships were held in the EAA Thun ( Switzerland ) on 9 December 2001.

The course in Thun military area consisted of a 1500 m long loop, with 150 m distance between start and finish. The men coped with six laps (9.15 miles), the junior four laps (6.15 miles), the women three laps (4.65 miles) and the junior two laps (3.15 miles).

78 reported 77 athletes went to the start and reached the goal of 75.
