2003 European Cross Country Championships

The 10th European Cross Country Championships were held in the EAA Edinburgh ( United Kingdom) on 14 December 2003.

In Holyrood Park, a 1425 m long loop was established, which could be extended by an increase to the Haggis Knowe at 1750 meters ( it was when turning into the home straight 1,670 m ). The men coped with a small and five large laps ( 10.095 km ), women and juniors a small and three large laps ( 6.595 km ) and the junior two small and one large round ( 4.52 km ).

Results

Individual classification

67 of 73 reported and launched athletes crossed the finish line.

Team standings

A total of ten teams counted. The German team came up with 143 points to ninth place.

Women

Individual classification

All 62 reported athletes crossed the finish line. Jolene Byrne, who occupied the 57th position, was later disqualified because she was not Irish citizen nor at the time of the event.
