Juan Carlos de la Ossa

Juan Carlos de la Ossa ( Juan Carlos de la Ossa Yunta; born November 25, 1976 in Cuenca ) is a Spanish long-distance runner.

In the European Cross Country Championships, he won three silver medals in the individual ranking: 2003 in Edinburgh, in 2004 in Heringsdorf and 2006 in San Giorgio su Legnano. 2002 Medulin he finished sixth, 2005 in Tilburg ninth. In the team standings, he won the 2002 gold and 2003, 2005 and 2006 silver. At the World Cross Country Championships he came in 2005 in Saint- Galmier ranked 24, 2006 in Fukuoka to 17th (both on long-haul ) and 2008 in Edinburgh on 24th place

At the World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis he was ninth in the 5000m. In 2005 he won the Great Edinburgh Run, and in the 10 km from Laredo, was second in the Great Manchester Run, Tenth at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki over 10,000 meters and second in the San Silvestre Vallecana. The following year, he won at the 15 km from Massamagrell and won the 10,000 m bronze at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006. In 2007, he defended his title in Massamagrell and was third in Laredo.

In 2008 he finished seventh at the Great Manchester Run and arrived at the Olympic Games in London in the 10,000 m on the 17th Place.

Five times in a row (2004-2008) he was Spanish champion in cross-country running. 2006 and 2008 also brought the national title in the 10,000 m.
