2007–08 TFF Second League

The TFF Lig B 2007/ 08 was the 37th season of the third highest in the Turkish league professional men's soccer. She was started on 19 August 2007 with the first round of the qualifying round and finished on May 30, 2008 with the play-off final.

Competition mode

In the 2007 /08 season, the third- highest division was held as last season in three stages. In the first stage, the league was played in a qualifying round ( Turkish Kademe Grupları ) in five groups of ten teams with home and away matches. After the end of Stage 1, the first two teams were from all groups in a common group, the promotion round ( Turkish Yükselme Grubu ), recorded, and played here for promotion to the Lig A. The remaining teams in the five groups of the qualifying round played in an unchanged group constellation now in a relegation round ( Turkish Duesme Grupları ) to the descent into the third TFF Lig Both the promotion round and the relegation round this represented the second stage and played with return game. The teams on the first two courses in the promotion round went directly to the First League and the last two teams of all groups of the relegation round rose from the TFF Lig 3. While the points were not taken from the qualifying round in the promotion round, they were counted unchanged in the relegation round. The third stage was carried out again in the form of a play-off round with eight teams. The teams ranked three to five of the promotion round and all the group winners Abstiegsgrupppen should play the third and final climber in the knockout system. The playoffs were held at the end of the group stage in a neutral city for all eight teams.

At the beginning of the season were to the remaining from the previous season, 37 teams, the three relegated from the 2nd Lig Türk Telekomspor, Akçaabat Sebatspor, Usakspor, the ten newcomers Gaziosmanpaşaspor, Bozüyükspor, Afyonkarahisarspor, Bugsas Spor, Alibeyköy SK, Tepecikspor, Değirmenderespor, ARAKLISPOR, Adanaspor, Diyarbakir BB Diskispor added. The newcomers had risen from the TFF Lig 3.

The season ended Adanaspor as champion and managed so that after four years of absence, attendance at the second highest Turkish league. The 2nd place occupied KDC Karabükspor and thus reached in eight years to participate in the Lig A. The play-offs were carried out as a neutral city in Konya and Adana Demirspor among the teams, Etimesgut Şekerspor, Gaziosmanpaşaspor, Güngören Belediyespor, Alanyaspor, Bugsas played Spor, Çankırı Belediyespor and İskenderun Demir Celikspor. In the play-off final, Güngören Belediyespor set 1-0 against Adana Demirspor and achieved the first ascent the club's history in the Turkish second highest league. As were relegated at end of season Inegölspor, Fatih Karagümrük SK ( group 1), Izmirspor, Usakspor (Group 2), Küçükköyspor, Tepecikspor (group 3), ARAKLISPOR, Erzincanspor (group 4) and Kahramanmarasspor, Hatayspor ( Group 5 ) firmly.
