2008 European Cup (athletics)

The 29th Athletics European Cup Super League or A-final was held on 21 and 22 June 2008 at Parc des Sports of Annecy ( France) instead of - as the 23 European Cup 2002 - and included 40 contests.

The European Cup in 2009 under a different name and with modified rules in four leagues divided continued as track and field team championship. The Super League met in Dr. Magalhaes Pessoa Stadium in Leiria (Portugal ) and parallel to the first league in Bergen ( Norway ), the 2nd league in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia ) and the 3rd Liga in Sarajevo ( Bosnia and Herzegovina).

German team

The team of the German Athletics Federation ( DLV) was composed of 49 athletes (24 women and 25 men).

Country ratings of the first league

It met at the same time the countries of the League 1 or the B-final of Group A in Leiria (Portugal ) and Group B in Istanbul (Turkey).

Country ratings of the 2nd League

It met at the same time the countries of 2 League bzw.das C- final of Group A in Tallinn (Estonia ) and group B in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia).
