The Premijer Liga 2009 /10 of the men consists of the 12th edition of a highest BiH professional championship. The Premijer League began on August 1, 2009 and ends on 22 May 2010 with the 30th league round. Opening game were the games between the FK Velež Mostar and NK Travnik, FK and FK Borac Banja Luka Laktaši, FK Leotar Trebinje and FK Rudar Prijedor and NK Zvijezda Gradačac and HŠK Zrinjski Mostar.

Premijer League

The Premijer Liga, the top division in Bosnia and Herzegovina football, was played in the season 2009/10 Total 15 times.

Movers were the FK Olimpik Sarajevo and FK Rudar Prijedor, which the clubs NK Posušje and HNK Orašje which were relegated in the 2008 /09 season, replaced.

The public law BHTV 1 transferred the " top game " of the round and mission Bra Sport followed by the abstracts of the other games.

Mode

In the 2009/10 season were as in past years, sixteen clubs in 30 rounds against each other. Each team played this once at home and once away against each of the fifteen other teams. In the Premijer League the sixteen teams played three international launch sites, a Champions League spot and two Europa League places. In addition, the two last-place, had to descend in the second highest league, the first league.

Fan riots

On October 4, 2009, came before the match between NK Široki Brijeg and FK Sarajevo to massive riots between the respective fan groups, in which a follower of FK Sarajevo was killed and 18 policemen and 15 fans of both teams were injured.
