2012 Bayern-Rundfahrt

The 33rd Tour of Bavaria took place until May 27, 2012 from 23. The race was held in five stages, including an individual time trial, a distance of 801.90 kilometers. It was part of the UCI Europe Tour in 2012 and was classified there in the 2.HC category.

Overall winner was the Australian Michael Rogers of Team Sky Procycling.

Stages

Won In the first stage of Traunstein Penzberg over 215.7 kilometers on 23 May sprinter Alessandro Petacchi of Lampre - ISD before Allan Davis ( GreenEdge Orica ) and the White Russians Yauheni Hutarovich (FDJ - Big Mat). Best German was John Degenkolb ( Argos - Shimano ) at No. 4

The second stage of Penzberg to Kempten over 195.6 kilometers 24 May 2012 won by Michael Rogers 4:43,48 hours in the finale of a five -man lead group as the best sprinter in front of Vladimir Gusev from the Russian team Katusha and Frenchman Jerome Coppel ( Saur - Sojasun ). 23 seconds behind the outliers led Alessandro Petacchi ( Lampre- ISD) the field across the finish line.

In the third stage from Kempten to Treuchtlingen over 196.4 kilometers 25 May 2012 Alessandro Petacchi won for the second time. Second place went to the White Russians Yauheni Hutarovich (FDJ - Big Mat), Third was local favorite John Degenkolb ( Argos - Shimano ).

The 4th stage on May 26 was the time trial over 26.4 kilometers in damp cheeks. It won the Australian Michael Rogers with a time of 31:14 seconds ahead of his compatriot and teammate Richie Porte ( 31:19 min) and Frenchman Jerome Coppel from the team Saur - Sojasun ( 31:30 minutes)

The final stage of wet cheeks to Bamberg via 167.8 kilometers 27 May 2012 won Alessandro Petacchi in a bunch sprint ahead of Allan Davis ( GreenEdge Orica ) and André Schulze (Team NetApp ).

Appreciation

Winner overall was the Australian Michael Rogers of Team Sky Procycling ahead of Frenchman Jerome Coppel ( Saur - Sojasun ) and Vladimir Gusev from the Russian team Katusha. The German Steffen Radochla (NSP - Ghost ) won the mountains classification, Alessandro Petacchi ( Lampre ISD) the sprint and Tony Gallopin ( RadioShack - Nissan) in the junior rankings. Best German rider in the overall standings was in seventh Christian Knees of Team Sky Procycling. Winner of the team classification was the British team Sky Procycling.
