2012 FINA Diving World Cup
The World Cup in 2012 was a water jump organized by FINA Diving competition series in which to February 26, 2012 will take place from 20th in London. Venue was the Aquatics Centre. A total of eight competitions were held, each one individual and synchronized diving from the 3- meter springboard and the 10 - meter tower in women and men.
The World Cup was also the pre-Olympic test competition and most important qualifying competition for the 2012 Olympics. In the individual disciplines won all 18 semi-finalists, if not already qualified through the World Cup, an Olympic quota place for their NOC. In the synchronous disciplines, the top four are not eligible couples were given a quota place.
The competitions were again dominated by the Chinese athletes who won all eight titles and eleven out of twelve possible medals. In total, winning medals jumpers from eight different countries. The German team was represented in six finals and won by Sascha Klein and Patrick house thing in the 10-meter synchronized diving a bronze medal. The one quota place won the German team in the individual competitions, but missed the two possible quota places in the synchronous competitions. Athletes from Austria and Switzerland missed the Olympic quota places.
