Aigen in the Enns Valley is a municipality with 2560 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district court and Liezen Liezen in Styria.

Geography

Aigen in the Enns Valley is located in the Styrian Enns Valley right (south of the Enns), about 10 km south-west of Lienzen, directly opposite the mouth of the Hinterbergtals ( from Ausserland ) in the Enns Valley. To the northwest rises dominate the Grimmig, left behind the southern flank of the Dachstein Massif. Northeast extends the Dead Mountains, and in the distance the Gesäuseberge.

To the south, the mountains to the Wölzer Tauern. The Aigner municipal area is the entrance to the Gulling, extending north to the Enns ( with a small parcel even to the other Ennsseite ), and in the south, the bottom Gulling and then the mountains to the left of the valley - the Gullingtal itself is community Oppenberg.

The municipality is dominant west ( valley ) of the Kulm (918 m above sea level. A. ), an island mountain in the Enns valley, and behind the Putterersee.

Coat of arms

Blazon (Coat of Arms description): " Accompanied in golden shield with a three series lined up naturally colored butter rolls of occupied black oblique bar right, top left of a blue bird flying, bottom right of a green conifer. " The award of the municipality coat of arms was made on November 9, 1959 with effect from 1 December 1959.

Economy and infrastructure

According to Census of 2001, there are 89 workplaces with 863 employees in the community as well as 741 and 707 commuter commuters. There are 120 agricultural and forestry enterprises ( of which 62 in the main acquisition ), which together manage 7,295 ha (as of 1999).

North of the village of Aerodrome Fiala is located remote Brugg the air forces of the Austrian army.
