Akköy ( Turkish for white village ) is the capital of the eponymous district of the Turkish province of Denizli. Akköy is located about 24 km north of the provincial capital of Denizli. Had Akköy at the last census 2,766 inhabitants ( as of December 2010). With the associated villages and small towns, the population is 5,492.
