Albina Akhatova

Albina Chamitowna Achatowa (Russian Альбина Хамитовна Ахатова, Albina Xəmit Qizi Axatova, Tatar Альбина Хәмит кызы Ахатова; born November 13, 1976 in Nikolsk in the Vologda Oblast ) is a Russian biathlete.

Career

Achatowa lives in Labytnangi, 1993, she began the biathlon.

Albina Achatowa won at the Winter Olympics so far five medals, three of them at the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin. Her biggest success was about winning the gold medal in the relay race.

Also at Biathlon World Championships Albina Achatowa was successful, she won a total of eight medals, including four gold. Three times she was successful with Russian squadrons or teams at the 2003 World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk, they also triumphed in the mass start.

In the season 2006/ 07 she took part because of her pregnancy at no World Cup races. On December 24, 2006, she gave birth to her son Leonid born and trained since the summer of 2007, again with the Russian team. In January 2008, she first appeared at the World Cup in Ruhpolding to her pregnancy back in and picked at the World Championships in Östersund sprint silver medal and bronze in pursuit race. A her taken on 5 December 2008 drug test they led almost simultaneously with Dmitri Yaroshenko and Ekaterina Jurjewa of doping with EPO, it was in February 2009 completely disabled for the time being and in August of the same year for two years; the lock ended on December 5, 2010.
