Biathlon World Championships 2000
The 35th Biathlon World Championships were held from 19 to 27 February 2000, Oslo, Norway ( Holmenkollen ).
The final decision of the World Championships, the season of the men had to be canceled in the middle of competition, as the athletes, the disks could not recognize in increasingly dense fog werdendem. The race was rescheduled on 11 March 2000 as part of the World Cup in Lahti, Finland.

After the race, the race jury found that the winner Frode Andresen had introduced his magazine into the weapon from the start and what is allowed only for safety reasons at the shooting range just before the shooting. The race jury decided, however, that Andresen could retain his title. Shortly after the decision Andresen but his gold medal returned voluntarily. However, the championship standings remained unchanged.
