Olga Zaitseva

Olga Zaitseva -Augustin (Russian Ольга Алексеевна Зайцева - Аугустин, English Olga Zaitseva; born May 16, 1978 in Moscow, USSR) is a Russian biathlete.

Olga Saizewa began in 1988 with the skiing and moved in 1994 to biathlon. It is coached by her sister Oxana Rotschewa, born Saizewa. In the season 2000/2001 she took part in a World Cup for the first time. In the season 2004/ 05 she was fourth in the overall World Cup.

Your hitherto most successful year was 2005, when they in Hochfilzen won a complete set of medals at the Biathlon World Championships in 2005 and also with the team Russia II won another silver medal at the Biathlon Mixed Relay World Championship 2005 in Khanty-Mansiysk. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, she won the gold medal in the relay.

Olga Saizewa is married to the former Slovak Sommerbiathleten Milan Augustin since 30 September 2006 and has since besides the Russian and Slovak citizenship. On 17 March 2007, her son Alexander was born in Moscow. Due to her pregnancy, she was from the 2006/07 season and started off the season 2008 /09 in the World Cup.

In the Biathlon World Championships 2009 in Pyeongchang, she won two gold medals ( mass start, relay ) and two bronze medals ( sprint, pursuit ).

Together with Svetlana Slepzowa, Anna Bogali - Titowez and Olga Medvedtseva succeeded Saizewa the victory in the Olympic Winter Games Season 2010 competition in Vancouver.
