Alessandro Fei (volleyball)

Alessandro Fei ( born November 29, 1978 in Saronno ) is an Italian volleyball player. He participated in four Olympic tournaments and became world champion and three times European champion.
Career
Fei began his career in 1993 in Foiano della Chiana. A year later he came to the offspring of Ignis Padua before he played from 1995 to the first division Pallavolo Padua. In 1998, the diagonal attacker his debut for the Italian national team, with which he became world champion in Japan in the same year by a final victory against Yugoslavia. He then moved within the league to Lube Macerata. The national team won with Fei 1999 World League and the European Championship. In 2000, the Italians were able to defend the title in the World League. Then Fei experienced his first Olympic Games in Sydney and won the team bronze. The following season he won the Italian Cup Macerata and the CEV Cup. At the European Championships in the Czech Republic, the Italians were subject, however, in the final against Yugoslavia. Fei now changed to Sisley Treviso. In 2003 he was Italian champion and triumphed again in the CEV Cup, with Treviso asserted itself in the final against his former club Macerata. Italy won the European Championship in Germany. In 2004, the middle blocker after winning the Italian doubles for the second time at the Olympic tournament, which ended for Italy only in the final against Brazil. 2005 defended Fei league and cup with Treviso as well as with the national title at the European Championships at home. The final of the Champions League won Treviso in 2006 in Rome against Iraklis Thessaloniki. 2007 succeeded the association with Fei the third Double in Italy. 2008, the middle blocker underwent his third Olympic tournament with the national team took fourth place. In 2011 he won with Treviso the CEV Cup against Zaksa Kędzierzyn -Koźle. In 2012 he won with Italy at the Olympic Games in London, the bronze medal. He then went to league rivals Pallavolo Piacenza.
