Alex Auld

Alexander Auld ( born January 7, 1981 in Thunder Bay, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who is under contract with EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Hockey League since July 2012.

Career

Auld played during his junior time in the North Bay Centennials in the Ontario Hockey League. He was selected in the second round as the 40th NHL Entry Draft in 1999 by the Florida Panthers. He stayed in North Bay and was replaced in 2001 by the Panthers to the Vancouver Canucks. In 2001 he participated with the Canadian junior national team at the World Youth Championship, where the team finished in third place.
