André Heller (volleyball)

André Heller ( born December 17, 1975 in Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul ) is a Brazilian volleyball player. He participated in three Olympic Games and was twice world champion.

Career

Heller began his career in 1993 in his home at Frangosul Novo Hamburgo and was here in 1995 Brazilian champion. In 1996 he moved to league rivals Ulbra São Luís, with whom he won the championship again in 1998 and 1999. Even with its other stations Minas Tênis Clube and Unisul Florianópolis in 2000 he was Brazilian champion and 2004. In 1998, the middle blocker his debut for the Brazilian national team. In 2000 he participated with the team for the first time at the Olympic tournament, which ended for Brazil to sixth. In 2001, he won with the national team, the World League. 2003 followed by a second title in the World League and his first triumph in the World Cup. In 2004, he experienced after another win in World League his second Olympic tournament and won with Brazil in the final against Italy the gold medal. After Heller joined the Italian league to Trentino Volley. With the national team was in 2005 and 2006, additional titles in the World League. At the World Championships in Japan, Brazil began with Heller in the final by against Poland. The national team won the 2007 three titles in the World League, at the Pan American Games and the World Cup. Within the Italian league Heller joined Pallavolo Modena, with whom he won the 2008 European Challenge Cup. In the same year he participated for the third time in the Olympic Games in part; Brazil lost the final to the United States and was therefore awarded the silver medal. After that, the middle blocker returned to the domestic league and played two years back for Minas Tênis Clube. 2010 Heller moved to Campinas at Clube Brasil vôlei.
