Andris Džeriņš

Andris Džeriņš ( born February 14, 1988 in Jēkabpils, Latvian SSR) is a Latvian ice hockey player who stands since 2009 at Dinamo Riga in the Kontinental Hockey League contract. His brother Guntis is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Andris Džeriņš began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of LB / Riga, before joining for the 2004/05 season to the city neighbors HK Riga 2000. For this he was parallel in the Latvian -U18 League and for their first team in the Latvian Hockey League and the Belarusian Extraliga used and has been with Riga Latvian first time in 2005 in his career masterpiece. The following two years were spent the junior national team in the junior sections of Stocksunds IF in Sweden and Lukko Rauma in Finland. Subsequently, the Center spent two seasons with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League.

In Kingston Džeriņš could draw attention to themselves with 98 points in 126 games, so that he became a junior Dinamo Riga Latvia from his home in the KHL Draft selected in the fourth round as a total of 82 players in 2009. In the 2009/10 season the links Sagittarius was in 17 games for Dinamo in the Kontinental Hockey League on the ice, where he remained point - and staflos. In parallel, he took with Dinamo's farm team Dinamo- Juniors Riga part in the game operation of the Belarusian Extraliga.

Internationally

For Latvia Džeriņš took at junior level at the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2005 and 2006, as well as the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2007 and 2008 in part. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships A- 2010 in Germany and 2011 in Slovakia.
