Andy Schneider

Andy Schneider ( born July 31, 1981 in Grand Forks, North Dakota ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player and current coach who has played during his active career, among others, at the Adler Mannheim and Iserlohn Roosters of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Andy Schneider played from 1998 for three years for the Lincoln Stars in the U.S. Development League United States Hockey League. He twice won the Anderson Cup. In the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 elected him as the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round at 156 point. He then moved to the University of North Dakota, for he went on the ice during his four-year college in the game running the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

After studying links Sagittarius signed a contract with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the farm team of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the American Hockey League. There he scored in 50 games and 16 points scorer also played four games in the ECHL Wheeling Nailers for which are also a farm team of the Penguins. The season 2007/ 08 Schneider spent with the Portland Pirates. The next season he joined the Toronto Marlies and finally moved in January 2009 to Germany, where he was engaged by the Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

For the season 2009/10 he moved, and on the recommendation of Teal Fowler back to the Iserlohn Roosters, there to stabilize the defensive. On the side of first Stefan Lang Again, later Jon Insana, this was also possible in the first half of the season conceding only four teams fewer goals. His first goal came DEL Schneider in December 2009 in the game against the Cologne Sharks. In the closing stages of the season he was sitting on some games as supernumerary quota players in the stands, his contract was not renewed.

In November 2010, Schneider returned to the Lincoln Stars in the United States Hockey League, where he had begun his career. There he became an assistant coach Chad Johnson.
