Annaberg is a municipality with 2234 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the province of Salzburg in the district of Hallein in Austria.

Geography

Geographical Location

The municipality is located in Tennengau in Salzburg, in the Lammer Valley at the foot of Gosaukammbahn. Originally attributed for centuries the Pongau, they only came in 1896 with the founding of the Hallein district in 1896, the most beautiful countryside. By the end of 2002, the village belonged to the district court Abtenau, since 2003 she has been part of the judicial district of Hallein.

Annaberg is surrounded by mountains at the foot of the Gosau ridge and the Tennen Mountains. Many pastures are a popular destination for tourists as well as locals. Some pastures: Mahdalm, Gappenalm ( not managed), Losegalm, grains hut Stuhlalm and others.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Annaberg, Gappen and Neubach.

The settlement Gappenberg is located at about 1000 m and has about 70 inhabitants. Two-thirds of the homes are farms ( Rathgeb, Weisengut, power fief, Hagenhof, Front Pass jerk, jerk back pass, Gappenhof, etc.).

The settlement Hagen settlement is located at about 750 meters and has about 200 inhabitants. The Hagen settlement is a popular destination for walkers walking.

History

For the first time called the Lammer Valley is transferred in a deed of 1124 the Archbishop of Salzburg Conrad I to the archbishopric of St. Peter. In the wake of the expulsion of the Salzburg Protestants had in 1732 also approximately 250 inhabitants of the towns of Annaberg and Lungötz leave their homeland. As a political community was "Annaberg in the Lammer " on June 4, 1849.

The district Lungötz developed with the establishment of the particleboard plant Kaindl own village, 1964, the dedication of a church in Lungötz. By December 3, 1991 the church name was changed by resolution of the Salzburg Provincial Government of Annaberg in the Lammer Valley in Annaberg.
